About IDAE (Spanish Renewable Energy Agency):
The Institute for the Diversification and Saving of Energy (IDAE) is a public business entity reporting to the Spanish Ministry of Energy, Tourism and Digital Agenda (MINETAD) through the State Secretariat for Energy. It is focused on enhancing energy efficiency and driving the adoption of renewable energy and low carbon technologies. About Mr. Víctor Marcos Morell:
Víctor is an industrial engineer by the Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM, 2010) and member of the High Corps of Spanish State Industrial Engineers since 2016.
Víctor became Director for Renewable Energy and Electricity Market at IDAE (Spanish Renewable Energy Agency) at 2020. His responsibilities include managing two important parts of the Recovery and Resilience Plan: renewable energy and renewable hydrogen (more than 4,5 billion Euro of public investment expecting more than 16 billion of total investment). He is in charge too of sectorial planning and prospective activities such as self-consumption, offshore wind, marine energy, and biogas strategies.
Víctor has been in very different positions in the renewable energy industry, including risk analyst. In the public sector he has been involved between 20217 and 2020 in the planning and prospective works for the Spanish energy sector towards 2030 and 2050 (net zero).
