Japan Wind Market Landscape with Offshore Wind Power Auction 

Japan has launched its first tender for the construction of bottom-fixed offshore wind parks in four designated areas in its waters (for bidding several zones off Akita Prefecture -- Noshiro (Mitane Town and Oga City), Yurihonjo City North and Yurihonjo City South. A site off Choshi City, Chiba prefecture).
The tender was initiated by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism. Interested parties will be able to submit proposals by May 27, 2021.
